Biscuit Apple Pie by Chef PsychicVeggie
Quick, easy and not overly sweet dessert. Dress it up with sauce, pair them with vanilla ice cream or just eat them plain.

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees or biscuit package cooking recommendation.
Step 1: Peel and chop apples into half inch chunks.
Step 2: Place apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice in a bowl and toss lightly until apple pieces are coated with sugar mixture making sure to save just a little cinnamon & sugar to sprinkle on the top.
Step 3: Open store bought can of breakfast biscuits and lightly roll each out.
Step 4: Place a two tablespoons of apple mixture in each biscuit and pinch closed at the top.
Step 5: Whisk egg in a small bowl with 2 TBSP water and lightly brush the entire 'pie' with the egg wash.
Step 6: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon sugar on the top for a nice crust.
Step 7: Bake according to biscuit package directions or until golden brown and hot.
Serving ideas are endless. I dusted these with powdered sugar and some caramel sauce I had hiding in the back of the fridge. They are not overly sweet so a side of vanilla ice cream would be a great compliment.
You can use any store bought biscuit dough. For these I used Schwan's frozen breakfast biscuits thawed and rolled out, but I have used Pilsbury and even Bisquick in the past and they were just as tasty.
